Broadpeak is expanding its Adaptive Streaming CDN (ASCDN) footprint in Latin America with seven new HyperPoPs across Brazil, deployed with YouCast across strategically selected local ISP networks.
These HyperPoPs, high-capacity points of presence designed specifically for video delivery, bring streaming capacity closer to viewers while helping services handle the sudden audience peaks generated by major live events.
What makes a HyperPoP different?
Each of the new HyperPoPs provides more than 1 Tbps of capacity, giving streaming providers significant local capacity to absorb traffic spikes around premium live sports and other high-audience moments.
By positioning this infrastructure deeper within local ISP networks, video content can be delivered closer to Brazilian viewers, reducing the distance traffic needs to travel and helping maintain consistent streaming performance as audiences scale.
Combined with Broadpeak’s CDN as a Service, this gives content providers access to high-performance video delivery infrastructure without the investment and operational complexity of building their own CDN.
